Call tracking provides proof of performance for marketers. The data can also be used to correct client misperceptions of poor campaign results. “Direct mail isn’t working" or, "I'm not sure our advertising generated any quality leads". Without Call Tracking, it is difficult to positively defend response measuring for customer campaigns. If the client isn't on site and staff are doubtful they received any leads from the mailer or advertisement the success or otherwise remains in question. Now we can track every marketing purchase, and know exactly how many calls came in as a response to that particular mailer or advertisement. We know details about the caller and what ads they are responding to. A sure way to impact on the marketers ability to prove performance and make tweaks when efforts aren’t working as well as hoped.
Call recording combined with Call Tracking
When a a client decides to engage in direct-response advertising, they obviously need to be able to quantify their responses to know if their current campaign ads work. At the very least, the client will need to know how many people responded, how many of them were converted to a sale, what those sales are worth, and how the inbound sales call was handled by the sales staff.
This is an invaluable tool, both from a data-collection standpoint and a sales-training perspective.
In addition, the call reviewer has the opportunity to discover training, or retraining opportunities to help call handlers improve customer service and convert more leads into sales.
As a lead tool, a call recording can be viewed as a “second chance” opportunity to help sales staff turn a caller into a customer, thereby further increasing campaign ROI.
